Minister to Students

Matt Kozma

Matt Kozma has been the Youth Minister/Associate Pastor at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church since January 2008.  He also serves the church as custodian.  Matt is married to his high school sweetheart, Lachelle, and together they are the proud parents Addyson Lynn.  Matt and Lachelle are originally from St. Louis, Missouri and came to Lynchburg to attend Liberty University in August 2003.  Both graduated with Bachelor’s degrees in December 2006, Matt in Religion with a specialization in Youth Ministry and Lachelle in Communication.  In the summer of 2010 Matt obtained an MDiv in Biblical Studies.

Matt is an avid reader and writer.  He enjoys way too many hobbies (his wife keeps telling him), such as: Golf, Disc Golf, Journaling, Airsoft, Puzzles, DVD Collecting, Music writing, running, yo-yo’s, card games, video games, football, etc.  Matt’s greatest passion is seeing the message of the kingdom of God spread on the earth and to see people grow closer to Jesus Christ in a transformational relationship.  Because of this Matt works as a minister to equip people to live as obedient servants God’s kingdom in community with other Christ-followers who together engage the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
